Mike Reynolds was born in north London and began playing the Piano aged six. He studied classical music in the conventional tradition. From the start he improvised and developed an awareness of many forms of music, including Classical, Jazz and Music for film.
His compositions are based on a minimal approach, centred around the Piano, with ambient textures. His music creates an atmosphere and an environment, which the listener is drawn into. The imagery of the music is ethereal, often dark and haunting and at times beautiful and serene, with an artistic and contemporary sense. |
